You are just as likely to solve a problem by being unconventional and determined as by being brilliant. - James Dyson

Hi, I’m Alex Okugawa. I believe financial planning is about more than just growing wealth — it’s about using money as a tool to live a life of greater meaning, purpose, and freedom.

I work with individuals and families to maximize their wealth, minimize taxes, and create lasting generational impact. Through comprehensive planning, my goal is to help hard-working people gain confidence in their financial lives and focus on what matters most to them.

I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Exit Planning Advisor®, and Certified Kingdom Advisor®, with over a decade of experience. I have a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Accounting and Mathematics from the University of Redlands. Along with advising clients, I’m the cohost of the Retire Confidently YouTube channel, where we share practical insights to help people plan wisely for retirement and beyond.

Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me hiking the trails at Torrey Pines with my wife, Sarah, and our three young kids Elyse, Elizabeth, and Daniel. I’m passionate about faith, family, and living life with purpose — and I’m grateful to be part of the Maranatha Chapel community.

Helping people live with clarity, confidence, and purpose is why I love what I do.
